David Hall
- Director of Recruitment & HR Consulting
Services
Of Irish descent, born and educated in the Republic of South Africa.
David has 16 years of experience in the Human Resources industry.
After graduating from the University of Natal, with a Bachelor of
Commerce degree and majors in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology
and Labor Law, David entered the corporate world where he started
out as a Human Resource Officer involved in Training, Recruitment,
Benefits Administration, Industrial Relations and Organizational Development.
Extensive experience was gained in these fields and the scope of employment
changed over the nine years in the Corporate Environment where the
last position he held was the National Human Resource Director for
the largest Waste-Management company in Southern Africa. David was
responsible for the Internal and External recruitment procedures in
the company that employed over 2000 staff members.
For the last five years he has been involved in the Recruitment Industry
and the Human Resource Consulting Industry. He has had extensive experience
helping organizations set up their internal and external recruitment
procedures and in helping candidates find new opportunities in the
local market and in some overseas markets.
At First Alliances, David heads our Recruitment & HR Consulting
Division and specializes in senior position placements..

Patrick Downey
- Director of Consulting & Training Services
Patrick is an Australian with more than 30 years
work experience in sales & marketing, transport & logistics,
manufacturing, accounting, finance, training and management consultancy.
He is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA),
and has held senior executive positions and directorships in a number
of companies, including both CFO and CEO positions.
After undergoing an executive cadetship in the
oil industry in Australia, and rising to hold State and National
Sales & Marketing Management positions, he founded his own accounting
and management consulting practice in Melbourne, Australia. He was
later headhunted back into the corporate sector, and held positions
ranging from Company Secretary through to Managing Director of various
companies before re-establishing his own finance and management
consulting firm.
His first assignment in Vietnam was in 1990,
and since that time has lived and worked in Vietnam and the Asian
region, concentrating on corporate consulting and training, and
project development, other than for a 5 year stint as General Director
of a Joint Venture company.
With his vast practical experience, Patrick
is now the Director Consulting & Training Services at FirstAlliances,
with the prime objective of developing this Division into a lead
position in the corporate sector in Vietnam, as is already held
by the company in HR Recruitment.

Anthony Modrich
- Executive Recruitment Manager
New Zealand born, Anthony holds a Bachelor of
Science degree and a Master of Science degree from the University
of Auckland, majoring in Marine Science and Environmental Management.
His first corporate role in New Zealand was
with a major marine manufacturer-exporter as the Sales and Service
Representative, where he was involving in servicing both local and
international accounts within the commercial and recreational markets.
Prior to joining First Alliances, Anthony was
employed as a Corporate Sales Manager, based in Sydney Australia,
for a global company that provided business intelligence through
corporate training services. His responsibilities included the recruitment,
training and mentoring of the direct sales team.
At FirstAlliances, Anthony and his team specialize
in executive search for sales and marketing positions, especially
for FMCG and Pharmaceutical industries.

Nguyen Hoang
- Recruitment Manager
Hoang graduated from the renowned Hanoi Open
University with a Bachelor of Tourism and Hotel Management Degree.
She has 6 years of professional HR experience. She started her HR
career working overseas for Star Cruises' Personnel Department,
the world's fourth largest cruise line. Upon her return to Vietnam
in 2000, Hoang joined First Alliances and played a key role in setting
up the company's manning agency, recruiting and supplying Vietnamese
hospitality and service crew to Star Cruises and Norwegian Cruise
Line. Today, First Alliances is the largest manning agency specialist
in Vietnam, managing over 500 Vietnamese crew worldwide.
Combining her tertiary education in hotel
management, overseas HR training, extensive recruitment experience
and industry network, Hoang has now developed into an outstanding
HR, Hospitality & Tourism Consultant with an industry wide reputation
for her professionalism. Her industry specialization has now extended
to cover Property, Construction, Engineering, Oil and Gas industries.

Huynh Quoc
Hung - Financial Controller
Hung is graduate of the Maritime University
with a major in Sea Transportation and is also a graduate of the
prestigious Economic University of Ho Chi Minh with a major in Accounting
& Finance. He is currently undertaking the Diploma of Financial
Planning at the National Finance Institute and Professional Development
Course with ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountant).
Hung has had more than 10 years rank and file work
experience in accounting within the hospitality industry with some
of the best 5 star hotels in Vietnam - including more than 2 years
as night auditor with Saigon Floating Hotel, 4 years as income auditor
for the Caravelle Hotel and 2 years as cost controller for the Legend
Hotel. Prior to joining FirstAlliances, Hung was senior accountant
for Chesterton Petty Vietnam.
In addition to his role as Financial Controller
at FirstAlliances, Hung specializes in the recruitment of financial
and accounting professionals for our clients.

Ngo Viet Tien
- Manager, Education Consulting
Tien is graduate of B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering;
BA in English and BBA, with more than 21 years of business experience
in a wide range of positions and roles in large foreign JV organizations.
Tien has held a number of senior executive positions in manufacturing,
sales & marketing, import & export, human resources and
training.
Prior to joining FirstAlliances, Tien was a
Senior Business Development Executive of a leading educational consultancy
company for over 3 years.
As Manager of the Education Consulting Dept.
at FirstAlliances, Tien is responsible for:
- Career guidance and planning
- Education consultancy to students wishing
to study overseas in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore,
UK and USA.
- Education consultancy to corporate
clients and government departments wishing to send their employees

Tran Minh Chanh
- Manager, Special Projects
Chanh started his professional career as a Sales
Representative in Oral-B Vietnam Ltd, having secured a degree in
dentistry. He gained his Master of Business Administration degree
(MBA) from Southern California University in 2002 and is currently
pursuing his Doctoral Degree.
Prior to joining FirstAlliances, Chanh spent
four years in the insurance industry where he was responsible the
recruitment and training of over 2,000 personnel, including new/existing
agents and managers.
Chanh is frequently invited to lecture and conduct training for
various academic institutions as well as corporate organizations,
including VATC (Vietnam American Training College), VCCI (Chamber
of Commerce & Industry of Vietnam), CBAM (College of Business
Administration for Managers) and PACE and Business Edge (MPDF).
As Manager of Special Projects in Consulting & Training Services
Division at FirstAlliances, Chanh specializes in customized training
and provide consultancy services to the Financial Services Industry,
MNC and SME Clients.

Eric Nguyen
- Recruitment Manager
Eric holds a Bachelor of Art degree in Foreign
Trade from the University of Economics, HoChiMinh City and completed
Sales Training Course with IMPAC University, Florida, United States.
Eric has over 8 years of extensive experience
in information & communication technology (ICT) industry, including
2 years of working experience and training in Singapore as Regional
Sales Executive for Cloride UPS.
Eric had held such positions as Sales & Marketing Manager,
Business Development Manager covering IT Products, Hi-Tech Products
& E-commerce Project. Eric was one of the key team players involved
in launching the first joint e-commerce project between VNPT &
Belgium Partner and was instrumental in developing Whitebox Computer
(Singapore) brand into Vietnam market.

Hoang Thi Le
Ha - Recruitment Manager
Being graduated from University of Social Sciences
and Humanities, Mrs. Le Ha achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in
English Language.
Mrs. Le Ha has more than 8 years of working
